Worship material for offering Arghya to the Moon:

• To offer Arghya to the Moon:
  • Kalash:  Kalash filled with water
  • Rice:  Some rice with a silver or copper coin
  • Roli:  A little Roli
  • Akshat:  A little intact (rice)
  • Flowers:  Rose, jasmine, or seasonal flowers
  • Paan:  Betel leaf
  • betel nut:  betel nut
  • Doob:  Doob grass

Moon worship material (optional):

• Lamp:  Ghee or oil lamp
• Incense:  incense sticks
• camphor:  camphor
• Fruit:  Seasonal Fruit
• Sweets:  Any sweet

Method of offering Arghya to the Moon:

• To offer Arghya to the Moon, first spread a red cloth on a platform.
• After this, place the Kalash in the middle of the post.
• Put some rice, roli, akshat, flowers, paan, betel nut, and doob along with a silver or copper coin in the Kalash.
• After this, light the lamp and burn incense.
• While offering Arghya to Lord Moon, chant the following mantra:

Om Jyotsnapate Namastebhyam Namaste Jyotishampateh Namaste Rohinikantam Ardhyam Me Pratigrahyatam.

• While offering Arghya, keep the Moon in mind and express your wishes.
• After offering Arghya, ask for forgiveness from the Moon and pray that she brings happiness and prosperity in your life.
