Puja Samagri Needed

Story
Mother Sita’s birth and swayamvara
- King Janak of Mithila: King Janak of Mithila wanted a good girl for his subjects. One day, while they were plowing the fields, a girl child was born from the ground. She was named Janaki, which means “daughter of Janak”.
- Nature of Mother Sita: Mother Sita is considered to be the incarnation of Lakshmi Mata, the wife of Lord Vishnu. She was extremely beautiful, knowledgeable and possessed magical powers.
- Shiva Bow: King Janak had a divine bow given by Lord Shiva, which was extremely heavy. For Sita’s marriage, he put a condition of Swayamvar – Sita would be married to whoever would pick up Shiva’s bow and string it.
- Arrival of Shri Ram: Many kings and warriors came to the Swayamvar but Shiva could not even move the bow. Then Ayodhya’s prince Shri Ram and Lakshman along with sage Vishwamitra reached the swayamvar. Shri Ram picked up the bow and broke it.
- Marriage and exile The divine marriage of Sita and Ram took place. But, due to the boon of Kaikeyi, Shri Ram had to go into exile for 14 years. Sita Mata, following the dharma of patriotism, accepted to go into exile with Shri Ram.
Abduction of Sita and killing of Ravana in Lanka
- Golden Deer and Panchavati: During his exile, Surpanakha, the sister of the elusive Ravana, fell in love with Shri Ram. Shri Ram sent her to Lakshmana, who in anger cut off Shurpanakha’s nose and ears. Enraged by this, Ravana planned to kidnap Sita. He sent the elusive golden deer, seeing which Mother Sita requested Shri Ram to bring it.
- Lakshman Rekha: Shri Ram went to get the golden deer and asked Lakshman to protect Mother Sita. Taking advantage of Sita being alone, Ravana came in the guise of a sage and on the pretext of begging for alms, made her cross the Lakshman Rekha and abducted Sita and took her to Lanka.
- Shelter in Ashoka Vatika: Ravana kept Sita captive in Ashoka Vatika. He proposed to marry Mother Sita, which the mother rejected.
- Hanuman ji’s entry into Lanka: Shri Ram and Lakshman got the support of the monkey army in their search for Sita. Hanuman ji crossed the sea and entered Lanka and gave the message of Shri Ram to Mother Sita in Ashok Vatika.
- Ram-Ravana war: Shri Ram attacked Lanka with his army. A fierce battle took place, in which Ravana and his demon army were destroyed. Shri Ram asked Mother Sita to undergo the test of fire to prove her purity.

- Sita’s trial by fire: Sita Mata entered the fire and returned safely, thereby proving her purity.
